Broadway and Mt Diablo Traffic Signal Improvements

Dates: 2nd week of March, 2020

Description: Construction will begin for the traffic signal improvements at Broadway and Mount Diablo. This project will include the reconstruction of the existing curb ramp located at the south east corner of the intersection, pedestrian push button relocation, replacement of existing vehicle signal indications, CCTV camera relocation, installation of traffic signal video detection cameras, conduit installation, pull box installation and a complete traffic signal rewire.

Impacts: Lane closures will be required to perform the work. The Contractor will post pedestrian detours during sidewalk closures.  Contractor will post “No Parking” signs at least 48 hours prior to closure of parking spaces.  This project will also require a traffic signal shutdown to rewire the intersection. The traffic signal shutdown will occur in the evening/night. The date for the signal shutdown has not been determined.
