On 1/15/16 at 1338 hours the suspect entered the Bank of the West in the downtown area talking on the phone. After briefly waiting in line, the suspect greeted the teller, leaned over and whispered “This is a robbery, I’m going to need you to give me all the larger bills.” No weapon was seen. The suspect left on foot and was last seen heading towards the BART Station.

Cold Case 12-36837

11/08/12, a female was walking to her car in the PG&E lot at 370 N Wiget Lane (in the Shadelands Office complex). The victim was kidnapped by two white male adults in their late 20’s and taken to several ATMs. After approximately two hours, the victim was released with minor injuries in Oakland. Suspect # 1 is in photo at one of the ATM’s.

Cold Case 89-11478

On 12/20/1989 Tamara Moats (39 years old) was murdered in the area of Clifton Ct and Lancaster Dr in Walnut Creek, CA. Tamara had been severely beaten and strangled. Through the Walnut Creek Police Department’s investigation we were ultimately able to identify a suspect in this case. In 1995 we identified Arturo Ochoa Sanchez as a suspect in this homicide. In 1995 we obtained a $1,000,000 murder warrant for Sanchez. Records reveal Sanchez was deported in July 1990 to Mexico via Calexico, California.

Walnut Creek Police Department is working with the US Marshall’s Office, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and INTERPOL at an attempt to locate Sanchez.
