The Walnut Creek Police Department is the primary answering point for all 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls for the City of Walnut Creek. The communications center operates 24-hours a day, 7 days a week by a team of highly skilled and dedicated Public Safety Dispatchers. Our dispatchers serve as the vital link between those in need of help and emergency services personnel.
In 2017, our dispatchers processed close 85,000 incoming calls, over 23,000 of which were 9-1-1 calls. Our team proudly answered 98.89% of the 9-1-1 calls in less than 10 seconds. Dispatch created over 51,000 calls for service and made over 25,000 outgoing service calls for patrol.
