Project Goals and Objectives

The project goals are the broad statements to set direction and desirable outcomes for the planning effort, while the objectives are the specific statements that identify tangible strategies to reach the goals. The project goals and objectives were developed by the staff working group, which is a group of staff representatives from the Arts and Recreation, Public Works, and Community and Economic Development. These were developed based on: Review of existing master plans; Staff expertise and knowledge of the parks, programs and facilities; Best practices in the field. Project Assumptions

The assumptions are the conditions assumed to be true for the timeframe of the project. The timeframe for each park Master Plan is expected to be 10-15 years. The assumptions set the framework for parks planning and programming by constraining the focus of future physical improvements. View the Project Assumptions >>

 

Workshop Materials

At the first interactive community workshop, participants had a chance to provide feedback on Arts + Rec programs, the future vision for Civic Park and Heather Farm Park, and on wants and needs for our community facilities.
