Parks & Picnic Rentals

In response to the Contra Costa Health Services order to cease non-essential operations and gatherings in order to limit community exposure to COVID-19, all City buildings are closed until further notice.

Picnic rentals through April 7 will be canceled and a full refund provided.

All playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts with locking gates, and the skate park at Heather Farm are temporarily closed. All parks and the dog park at Heather Farm are currently open. Please respect social distancing recommendations when visiting our parks.

The City of Walnut Creek has 16 parks spread throughout the City as well as over 3,000 acres of Open Space.

Picnic Rentals are available at Heather Farm Park and Larkey Park while other parks have picnic areas on a first-come, first-serve basis.
