Kids for the Bay is posting incredible outdoor activities to enjoy with your kiddos! Here’s one of our favorites… bird watching in your own backyard!

1. Try to go out in the morning or evening when birds are most active.
2. Sit quietly and still for 5-10 minutes (or longer) and observe the birds you see and hear!
3. Think about the following questions: How are their songs different? Where do you notice the bird? In a tree, on the ground or flying around?

Find their full activity and bird watching guide on their website:

3.31.20 Working From Home

 high_res (18)

Working from home might be more comfy (hello sweatpants!) but it’s definitely not easy. Here are some tips that the New York Times recommends for productive home office tips:

💡Get Dressed for the Day - this sets the tempo for the day and helps prevent wanting to crawl back into bed. And you never know when the next Zoom meeting will strike!

💡Don’t Sleep Where You Work - this helps mentally break up work space from personal space and can create a more productive zone.

💡Plan Against Distractions - Use apps available for Google Chrome, like StayFocusd & Strict Workflow to set a “timer” on websites like Facebook or Twitter.

💡Get Out - Find time to go for short walks to help inspire productivity and creativity.
