Watch our Memorial Day 2020 Ceremony online or on YouTube

Walnut Creek's annual Memorial Day ceremony was held despite the COVID-19 outbreak.  Through a mix of new content and musical selections from past ceremonies, the City is bringing a virtual Memorial Day commemoration to our resident.

Hear remarks from Mayor Loella Haskew and each of the additional Councilmembers, music from the Walnut Creek Concert Band, an invocation from St. Paul's Episcopal Church Rev. Krista Fregoso, and much more.

Watch on the City's YouTube channel, on our Walnut Creek TV channel, or on our website.   Find Walnut Creek TV on Comcast Cable channel 28 (channel 26 in Rossmoor,) AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and WAVE channel 29.

There are many other ways to commemorate the event virtually this year, and we hope you will take advantage of these as well:

Veterans Legacy Memorial project - nation's first digital platform dedicated entirely to the memory of the 3.7 million veterans laid to rest in VA national cemeteries.  Create your own online memorial for a loved one.

Visit the Presidio in Golden Gate Park virtually, with videos, photos and recaps of ceremonies at the Presidio dating back 150 years.

Tour the USS Hornet or the USS San Francisco, with virtual visits replacing the in-person events they traditionally host for Memorial Day.

And if your family tradition includes outdoor gatherings, please stick close to home and stay safe.
