The Business License Division is located in City Hall at 1666 North Main Street, just off the elevator on the third floor. Free parking is available on the Broadway side of the building in the downtown area. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. All entities and persons doing business in the incorporated area of the City (including subcontractors and landlords) must have a current business license. For Business License purposes, the year begins on July 1 and ends June 30.

Note: The City has established various zoning regulations, which control the location and operation of all commercial activity. You should consider checking with the Planning staff in the Community Development office at (925) 943-5834 before purchasing property or signing lease agreements. Please note that business license fees are non refundable.
