North Broadway section to be closed for 10 nights

North Broadway between Mount Diablo Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue will be closed at nighttime between Sunday, June 17 and Thursday, June 28 for road repairs.
Work will be conducted between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Traffic will be detoured during construction hours.
Door hangers with information about the project have been distributed to affected residents.
Residents will be able to enter and exit the area during the closure. Others wishing to access the area will be asked to park at the public parking garage at 1390 North Broadway, which remains open at all times.
The repairs are essential to extend the service life of the roads and to keep them safe. The work involves removing the old slurry or chip seal from the roadway concrete surface and sealing the surface with a new resin. Chipped concrete will be repaired, and traffic stripes will be replaced.
There will be construction noise as well as odor from the sealer while the work is under way.
