North Main Rehabilitation Project

Dates: August - September 2019

Description: The North Main Rehabilitation Project will repair and repave the roadway on North Main Street between N. California Boulevard and Penniman Way.  This project will also perform American with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades at curb ramp locations and repair damaged sidewalk within the project limits.

Impacts: Vehicular lane and sidewalk closures will be required to perform the work.  ADA upgrades and street repairs will occur during the day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM.  Repaving will occur at night, Sunday through Thursday, between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM.

Sidewalk repair and ADA upgrades will continue through August 23rd.  

Night paving is scheduled to begin on September 3rd and will continue through September 12th.

Broadway and Mt Diablo Traffic Signal Improvements

Dates: Project On Hold

Description: Construction will begin for the traffic signal improvements at Broadway and Mount Diablo. This project will include the reconstruction of the existing curb ramp located at the south east corner of the intersection, pedestrian push button relocation, replacement of existing vehicle signal indications, CCTV camera relocation, installation of traffic signal video detection cameras, conduit installation, pull box installation and a complete traffic signal rewire. 

Impacts: Lane closures will be required to perform the work. The Contractor will post pedestrian detours during sidewalk closures.  Contractor will post “No Parking” signs at least 48 hours prior to closure of parking spaces.  This project will also require a traffic signal shutdown to rewire the intersection. The traffic signal shutdown will occur in the evening/night. The date for the signal shutdown has not been determined.
