Walnut Creek Recreation has partnered with new instructors and our friends at Center for Community Arts to bring brand new programs for youth and adults with special needs. Here's what's new this Fall:

Puppet Workshop

Join master puppeteer Mark Pitzlin for this unique and fun workshop. Participants will learn how to bring a variety of different puppets to life to present to their family and friends at the end of the workshop.

Ages 5 and up
Tuesdays from 5-6pm, starting Sept 24.

Adaptive Art

Students will experiment with new mediums and projects every week. Draw paint and sculpt little masterpieces and learn different ways to express yourself, as well as learn how a variety of materials work. Modern masters will be our inspiration. Join us for this adaptive designed art program that works in both 2-D and 3-D for students with special needs.

Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30pm, starting Sept 24.

Adaptive Dance

In this introductory course, students will learn creative dance combining techniques from ballet, jazz and contemporary. Class will consist of dancing in a group setting with step by step instruction. Join us for this adaptive designed dance and movement program for students with special needs. 

Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm, starting Sept 25.
