One of the streets is named after the original Spanish land grant, others hearken back to the early families who settle there ... even the name "Saranap" has an intriguing back story. Meet above the fountain at the intersection of California and Mt Diablo boulevards for a 9 a.m. departure. This walk is a little less than 4 miles in length. |Resurfacing of 53 City streets with slurry seal will begin July 21 and extend through the week of August 3. Expect traffic delays and street closures when work is in progress.
