Wild turkeys in the open space, learn all about them. MONTHLY AND ON-GOING PROGRAMSLime Ridge Monthly Hike Lime Ridge, 2nd Sunday of the month, 9 a.m. Put on your good hiking boots, grab a water bottle, a snack and a hat, because we're going on a hike. Ranger Art Janke will lead the hike through oak woodlands, grasslands, and inland scrub habitats that are the home of a great variety of animals. No reservation is necessary unless you're bringing a group of 5 or more. RAIN CANCELS. Meet at the parking lot at Cowell and Ygnacio. Call Ranger Janke at 925-930-7731 for more details.Old Borges Ranch Tours Borges Ranch in Shell Ridge, 4th Saturday of the month, 2 p.m. Join Ranger Dan Bylin on a tour to explore the historic Borges Ranch. The Borges family settled in Walnut Creek in 1899 and their ranch is on the National Register of Historic Places. Tour the 1901 ranch house and the 1903 carriage barn while learning what life was like on the ranch 100 years ago. Meet under the windmill near the parking lot at Borges Ranch. RAIN CANCELS.
