Carriage Square Resident(s) Subject: Traffic Calming Focus Group Survey Dear Resident(s):

The purpose of this letter is to determine your preferred level of involvement in the Carriage Square Traffic Calming Study. Over the past several years we have been requested by many residents to solve speeding, pedestrian safety and traffic congestion problems in your area. Our goal is to assemble a group of residents that will focus the study by engaging the neighborhood in developingcommunity based alternatives.

At this time, we plan to establish a focus group that will meet monthly for at least six months to identify neighborhood concerns and develop viable solutions. Focus group participants will be expected to attend the monthly meetings and actively seek input from their neighbors. The meeting notices and progress reports on the group’s activities will be posted on the City’s website: www.walnut-creek.org. Please take a moment to check the level of participation appropriate for you on the enclosed form and return in the self-addressed stamped envelope provided by June 15, 2001.
