Traffic Signal Issues

1. Coordinate signals on Treat, including Winton & Carriage
2. Need protected left turn from Carriage onto Treat.
3. Not enough green time for Carriage at Treat (give more time to Carriage) Monday – Friday – congestion causes backup on Shannon, Claiborne and Carriage.
4. Need a traffic signal on Arkell at Treat –
5. Will a traffic signal increase traffic on Arkell?
6. Not enough green time from Winton onto Treat
7. Too many u-turns at Treat/Carriage

Stop Signs Requests

1. Need all-way stop signs at Arkell/Winton/Savannah
2. Need all-way stop signs on Arkell at Parish
3. Need all-way stop signs on Biscay at Argonne
4. There are already enough stop signs on Gill Port.
5. Need all-way stop signs on Carriage at Gill Port.
6. People run stop signs on Gill Port at Arkell.

1. Commercial vehicles parked on Arkell between Treat & Shannon
2. Trucks leaving Countrywood Shopping Center cut through Carriage north of Treat

Student Drop-off / Pick-up

1. Parents drop off students at the end of Carriage Dr
2. Parents drop off students in the shopping center.
3. Parents drop off students on Bancroft at the trail.
4. Students loiter on Savannah Circle at the walkway (litter, drugs, smoking, drinking, graffiti).
5. Students park and loiter at the end of Winton
6. Students loiter on the canal trail during school hours

Sporting Events

1. Littering around Bancroft due to after school sports activities (Shannon)
2. Parking around Bancroft Elementary during sports activities on Saturdays
3. Illegal parking (parking on corners, blocking driveways) during De La Salle evening events.

Safe Route to School

1. Arkell/Parish crosswalk is not in a good location due to speed of oncoming traffic.
2. Lack of crosswalks on Arkell & Winton/Savannah/Arkell
3. Need bigger “clearance” area at the crosswalk on Treat at Carriage.
4. Need to move the crossing guard at Treat/Carriage to the other side of the intersection.

Other

1. How can we handle increasing enrollment for schools and the resulting increase in traffic?
2. Need to place traffic control measures other than stop signs and signals on Carriage/Crescent since people don’t obey them.
3. Too many collisions at Countrywood/Treat
4. Too much cut-through traffic from Carondelet/DeLaSalle going Winton to Arkell.
5. Too much cut-through traffic on Biscay/Normandy coming from Arkell.
6. Too much cut-through traffic from Bancroft on Dorsch & Gill Port
7. Late night noise from loud motorcycles & “jake” (compression) brakes on trucks.
8. Sight distance is limited from Arkell onto Treat.
9. Excessive noise from braking & accelerating at the stop signs at Gill Port/Arkell.
10. Residents cannot back out of driveways on Claiborne, Shannon & Carriage due to congestion during school hours.
11. Lack of consensus in the neighborhood on implementing traffic calming measures (pavement undulations on Carriage north of Treat)
12. Students shouldn’t be allowed to drive to school.
