Waste Management Program

In order to help meet the State required 50% reduction in landfill waste, the City of Walnut Creek has initiated a construction and demolition materials recycling program.  The following information will assist you in complying with this program.  These requirements are applicable to all "Coverd Projects", which are defined as projects for which:

  • Demolition is greater than 300 square feet of surface area, and/or
  • 1,000 square feet of construction, and/or
  • Total costs are projected to be equal or greater than $50,000.

These documents will assist you when participating in the Waste Management Program.
