The Sandlot

Begins at dusk (approximately 7:45pm)

    Heather Farm Park, Ballfield #2
Time:     Field opens at 6pm, movies begin at sunset
Cost:     Help support the program with a $2 donation per person 

Please do not bring pets.  Lawn chairs allowed in designated areas.  Parking is available at the Ballfield #1 parking lot and Community Center lot. 

No food will be available for sale.  You are welcome to bring your own food and refreshments. No glass bottles or containers allowed.  No alcohol.  Please help keep the park clean by throwing or carrying away all trash.  Adult supervision of young children required.

Come see a showcase of the wide variety of healthy opportunities offered by the Arts, Recreation, and Community Services Department and its Walnut Creek Partners that enable our community to obtain and maintain healthy hearts, minds and bodies.

Class demonstrations, games, sports, vendors, give-aways, guest speakers, raffle prizes, WCPD Canine Unit, safety seat inspections and more!

Skateboard competition begins at 10am.  Helmets, knee pads and elbow pads required.  Each participant must have a completed registration/waiver form signed by guardian.  All abilities welcome.

Local non-profit agencies interested in participating should contact Todd Trimble, Recreation Manager at trimble@walnut-creek.org.

Not only do we have several great reservable picnic area options for groups of all sizes at Heather Farm Park and Larkey Park, but you can now book your picnic reservation online. We can take bookings up to 4 months in advance for our picnic season which runs from March through November.

The children's play area and basketball courts
will be closed from May - October 2014
due to construction of the all-abilities playground.
Picnic reservations can still be made. However, there will not
be access to these areas. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
