Student artists will be accepted into this program through a portfolio review process. Students who are beginning to create personal meaning in their art and who may be interested in attending an art school and/or pursuing a career in art or design will be our target group. Instruction will be with professional working artists and designers in an art studio setting. Areas of focus this year will be: Students will work with teaching staff in developing a body of work that is “portfolio ready,” structured on the three AP Studio Art Format, that focuses on a student’s fundamental competence and range of understanding in visual concerns and methodology, through three competencies: Concentration, Breadth, and Quality. |
