| SYSTEMS |
ITO provides 7 x 24 support to a variety of systems supporting City departments and online operations, as well as voice and data communication. Walnut Creek's "Green IT" initiative includes energy efficient virtual servers and desktops, EPEAT standards for computer monitors, and environmentally responsible disposal of obsolete equipment. |

We support a wide area network providing voice and data to approximately 20 City facilities of varying sizes as well as the new downtown library |
| 2010-12 BUDGET |
Information Systems - $3M; Telecommunications - $1.9K; plus Equipment Replacement and Special Projects totaling $1.5M. The Telecommunications budget is significantly lower than in prior years due to implementation of a cost effective Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system in 2009. |
