  Kish Rajan
Kish Rajan was elected to his first four-year term on the City Council in November 2008. He previously served as Chair of the Walnut Creek Transportation Commission. He was born February 24, 1970 in Seattle, Washington to SM Rajan of Bangalore, India and Wanda Jackson of Seattle. After the birth of his younger sister Sandy, the Rajan family chose Walnut Creek as the place to settle and raise their children.

Kish attended Valle Verde Elementary, Foothill Middle and Northgate High School. Kish went on to graduate from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in United States History and later earned a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law.

Kish has worked in the mobile technology industry for 13 years with increasing responsibility in sales and business development. Today, he is Director of North America Mobile sales with SanDisk corporation, where he directs a team of account managers and marketing resources.

Kish met Evie Spencer, also a lifelong resident of Walnut Creek in 1990 when they were both attending Diablo Valley College. They married in 1996 and now have 3 children – Jordan, Kendall, and Lincoln.
