Pointe (applies to pointe students) All levels welcome. Barre and centre work. Designed to develop technique, strength and confidence. Pas de Deux The art of technique of partnering, which involves supporting pirouettes and lifting. Repertoire Learn choreography from famous ballets including new works and contemporary dance. Character Folk dance techniques in the classical ballet tradition. Modern and Jazz WHAT TO BRING Girls -black leotard -pink tights -black skirt -pink ballet slippers -pointe shoes -character shoes -wear hair in a bun -a sack lunch and a water bottle Boys -white t-shirt -black tights -white or black ballet slippers -jazz shoes -a sack lunch and a water bottle

PERFORMANCE The Diablo Ballet Summer Dance Intensive will finish the sessions with an exciting performance consisting of repertoire, world premieres, modern character and jazz dances. July 29, 2011 at 7:30 pm Shadelands Art Center 111 North Wiget Lane Walnut Creek, CA  94598  COST The cost of the program is $630. To insure your spot, $250 is due by Monday, May 2, 2011 and the balance is due Tuesday, July 5, 2011.
