Where in the world?  Children’s literature will be the starting point for this art class that will encompass a variety of ideas and methods.  The class will be guided through fairy tales and folk tales from around the world and create art work based on those stories. 

Adventures in Art - Humans have created art through the centuries, but various cultures define it differently.  Explore art and techniques from around the world in this-hands on art class.  Journey to far away places and get to know new and exciting cultures through art

 Have you heard of me? -  Explore art history in a way that will stimulate inventive thinking and promote self confidence through positive feed back.  Meet famous artists and cultivate creativity in this art class that will provide a productive outlet for self expression.

 Sports and Games - Summer means fun!  Have a blast learning and playing active, new games along with all the old favorites. Want a little action?  Try this dynamic class.  Get physical with some challenging obstacle courses and drills.  Learn and play some new games and enjoy some well-loved classics.

Option 1

Animal Jam- Have fun while exploring animals through stories, movement and improvisational games! 
                                       combined with
Rain Forest Rumblings- Rain forests are extremly important in the ecology of the earth.  Go on an expedition through the strata of the rain forest, bringing the plants and animals to life in bright and beautiful colors, using a variety of two and three dimensional techniques.

 Option 2

Music Fun!  Gives young children the opportunity to learn and express themselves through music in a no pressure, happy, and encouraging environment. There will be loads of singing and playing on various percussion instruments. The focus will be on group activity  and building friendships through music.
                                         combined with
Star Steps- Learn the basics of dance for musical theater through classical musical theater songs.  Box step and grape vines aren’t the only skills you’ll learn.  Secrets of the trade will be exposed to help you have “Star Steps”.

 Option 3

Imagination Creation- Build your theater vocabulary and add to your acting tool belt while playing a variety of theatre games and exploring improvisation.

Active Bodies-Active Minds- Students who are physically active and fit are more likely to perform well in school than their sedentary peers. Rev up your brain as you engage in activities that will develop strategic thinking and build skills while having fun with friends.
