This student production/performance charity event will benefit the Friends of Civic Arts Education Foundation scholarship fund and the Monument Crisis Center. Students 8-18 will learn and perform numbers from popular musicals. Directors will be selected from local high school students. Students enrich leadership and theatrical abilities. Enrollment is limited and must be done in advance. Parent approval required. Adult volunteers will oversee all activities. Civic Arts Education is donating space, equipment and support services. ‘By the Kids, For the Kids: tickets for the Oct 3, 5pm Show at Shadelands Auditorium may be purchased online for $10.

Mini Kids Theatre
Sing, dance and act to songs from your favorite musicals such as Cinderella, Jungle Book and more! Play games and dress up! No experience necessary. Work with our Youth Theatre Company staff to learn the basics of the stage. End the session with a performance for family and friends. No audition. $10 show fee due first class.

This award-winning advanced group of young theatre performers produces two large-scale productions a year. Junior Theatre is a school-year long program that works on the finer skills of dance, vocals, character development and production. The ensemble competes alternating years in the Broadway Junior International Theatre Festival in Atlanta (travel expected January 2011 for this exciting opportunity!)Prior participation in Mini Kids and Kids Theatre is recommended.
