 PROJECT NAME: Bancroft Elementary School Learning Garden
SPONSOR: Bancroft Elementary School
DESCRIPTION: Help us create a learning garden. Volunteers will clear pathways, prepare composting area for student use, clean out pond and improve pond area, remove "suckers" around fruit trees, and repair irrigation system and sprinklers.
LOCATION: 2200 Parish Drive; meet behind kindergarten playground.
NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 10
AGE REQUIREMENTS: All ages welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy gardening work: Digging, pushing, kneeling
VOLUNTEERS SHOULD BRING: Protective gardening clothes, hat, closed-toe shoes, work or garden gloves, sunscreen, water. If possible, bring garden tools (some will be on site).
