Smart AC
During the summer, hundreds of thousands of air conditioners are used simultaneously, severely taxing energy reserves. The Smart AC Program helps save the environment and lowers the chances of a power interruption by sending signals to participants’ air conditioners to use slightly less power than usual. There is no significant difference in temperature or comfort because of the power usage reduction. Installation is free, and participants receive $25!

ClimateSmart Program
The ClimateSmart Program is an opportunity for residents to help the environment by balancing out their homes’ greenhouse gas emissions. By adding a voluntary, tax deductible donation (around $5 a month for most homes) to their PG&E bill, participants actively combat the environment’s problems and take a step towards cutting their carbon footprints.
