City to present draft Climate Action Plan at Aug. 31 Community Workshop The City will present its draft Climate Action plan at a community workshop on Aug. 31 from 6-8 p.m. in the Oak View Room of the Walnut Creek Library, 1644 N. Broadway.The draft Climate Action Plan outlines the City’s overall strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) in response to state regulations to address climate change. The CAP, once completed, will serve as a blueprint for the City’s future sustainability efforts and contain policies that are designed to help the City meet state legal requirements for GHG reductions. The goals and measures outlined in the Climate Action Plan are intended to support a healthy and sustainable future for Walnut Creek.
