  Library Closure Party - Jan. 13, 2008

An estimated 700 people attended the "Thanks for the Memories" event planned by the Walnut Creek Library Foundation on Jan. 13, 2008 in the former Walnut Creek Library on North Broadway.

The Rossmoor Big Band performed a Duke Ellington number in honor of the legendary bandleader's appearance at the library in September 1965.

KCBS radio celebrity Al Hart, a Rossmoor resident, performed with the Rossmoor Big Band.
